"Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other." - John F. Kennedy
Hey there! My name is Crispin Corpuz. I am a 4th year student planning to graduate in May 2023 with degrees in electrical engineering and mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and University of Nebraska at Omaha, respectively. In academic, industrial, and professional settings, I have interests in RF, signal processing, and hardware design for wearable devices. Outside industrial professional settings, I have a passion for community leadership and student development, particularly in Omaha. Living the majority of these past three years in Omaha and my passion for cycling has led to a deep interest in the development of communities within and around Omaha, from the transient population (students) to permanent structures (transportation).
My decision to study electrical engineering stems (stems...STEM, ha) from my upbringing and education experience. My father earned his BSEE at Mapúa Institute of Technology back in 1990 and always brought home cool, interesting scrap parts and materials for me to play with—my first exposure. Then, in high school, the labs, lectures, and guidance provided by my AP Physics teacher truly engaged me and encouraged me to pursue EE as a path. Now, after three and a half years of electrical engineering and mathematics education, I have come to full appreciation of the insatiable curiosity, critical thinking skills, and initiative instilled through the rigor of my courses, lab work, and internships.
